LAKOS separators have been successfully used to separate solids from water and other liquids in automobile manufacturing plants. Among the possibilities are:

Removing solids from recirculating coolant oils so they don't clog nozzles

Installed in a system before an industrial pump (see picture above), LAKOS separators remove solids that would decrease the efficiency, life span, and effectivness of the pump

As a pre-filter to other high-maintenance filtration techniques (filter cartridges, for example) to extend their life and minimize costs
