Lakos separators and filtrations systems can remove solids from liquids based upon several key factors: The specific gravity of the solid (see chart below). How many times to liquid is routed through the separator. On a closed-loop system in which the liquid is repeatedly RECIRCULATED through the same piping and the separator, a greater degree of solids can be removed with NO LIQUID LOSS than would be possible on a single pass configuration.
