Recommended Solutions

For this application LAKOS recommends....

  • Pro II (carbon steel) Sand Media Filters for most installations.
  • If corrosion is a concern, the SST (stainless steel) Sand Media Filter is recommended. A photo is shown at right.
  • When the water is particularly sandy or contains other debris, a pre-filter is recommended as well. The BRS System was designed exactly for this type of situation. The BRS System also reduces the frequency of backwashing cycles for the sand media filters, saving energy and prolonging their life as well as those of other components of the irrigation system.
