For this application LAKOS recommends....

• In situations where Sand Media Filters are the primary source of filtration (see photo at left), a BRS System or IHB or other LAKOS Separator can be used
• For pre-filters in rivers and lakes, LAKOS recommends PC Screens to remove most debris. In harsher, Industrial environments, LAKOS recommends ISF screens

Pre-Filtration for Irrigation and Agricultural Installations

Even when other forms of filtration are used in an application, LAKOS Separators can be used to make them more efficient and last longer. This pre-filtration can remove larger solids from a system and allows finer filtration to remove the finer particles with less maintenance and at higher efficiency.

In drip irrigation or micro-spray installations, pre-filtration can prolong the life of the sand media filters and other system components.
