LAKOS Effectively Reduces Water Loss In Parts Washing Operation

SOLIDS/LIQUID: Cast iron particles, water

PROBLEM: A steel shelving manufacturer sought to remove cast iron particles from their washing operation in an effort to minimize wastewater and use of incoming city water.

SOLUTION: Two LAKOS LAX Separators and an eductor package were incorporated into their system. Each separator purges into a bag filter over a small tank, after which the clean liquid is pumped back into the main tank. The continuously clean fluid keeps the sump free of grit and sludge, protects the spray system nozzles and reduces system downtime.
